Default WTB: 59-60 High Horsepower Harmonic Balancer (p/n: 3764318)

Looking for a 59-60 High Horsepower Harmonic Balancer, p/n 3764318 shown on page 74 of the NCRS Judging Manual.

Outer ring facing radiator measures at 6-1/8” overall diameter x 5/8” thickness with “stepped down” Inner Hub facing engine measures at 4-1/2” overall diameter x 3/4” thickness.

If you have such a Balancer available, please PM.

Many thanks,
Mark

Check Damper Dudes and Damper Doctor on the internet. I located one a few years ago that was fully refurbished and ready to go. Hang on to your dentures though, $600. They are as rare as hens teeth and I would suggest that if you do locate one, buy it regardless of the price. I ended up not using mine and sold it for $800 two months later. Supply and demand. Good luck!

I am hopeful to locate one soon as my engine builder is nearing completion of my motor rebuild and prefers to dyno with the Balancer that would end up on the motor, checking for any vibrations. Thank you for your response, have a wonderful Sunday.

Thanks for the offer. I called both earlier in the week with no luck. I have come to learn Goat Hill makes a High Horsepower Balancer repro.

Getting ready to place the engine on the dyno stand, anyone know the whereabouts of one of these ellusive High Horsepower Balancers? I prefer avoiding going down the repro path.

Default High HP Balancer

In the new issue of the NCRS Driveline, there is one for sale by Richard Fortier(sp?). Not cheap, but I would imagine from him, the former owner of Paragon Corvette, it would be correct!
I had mine rebuilt by Damper Doctor several years ago and he received it, rebuilt it and shipped it out the same day. He told me he did not want it in his shop as if it came up missing, it would be hard to replace. He also told me he had a list of people looking for one, but had not seen one to be bought for years. Good luck, hope this helps!

As mentioned.........VERY HARD TO FIND. You might try Grossmeullers, but that is al long shot. They may know of someone else to check with. I would follow up with Richard Fortier if you have to have an original and have it now. Now that the word is out that he has one, I would move very quickly regardless of price. Good luck.

$1400 which is nearly double what I've seen them go for in the past. I'm sure someone is willing to spend it for that extra point.

Default Hi HP Damper

The Damper I have is still available ! If somone has seen one for sale at $1400,,You should buy it !!
I've said it before ,I'll say it again,,,These Dampers are comparable to Big Brake parts,,,,$1500 for (one) drum,,or how about $3500 for (one) RPO Wide wheel ,,,I think the brake stuff is even easier to find than these balancers
