The gray paint really helps with hiding brake dust. I put a similar wheel on my X5 and am always amazed how the wheels never look dirty.

Mustang wheel takes the styling up a notch. Machined face with painted pockets looks great.

I like the outer half of the Stang wheels and the center portion of the Z51.

I think if you took the center caps off, 99 out of 100 C7 owners would say the wheel on the right (Mustang) was by far the better looking wheel.

I like the Vette wheels a bit better - they look "lighter". The "tuning fork" wheel design is certainly popular now. Chevy, Ford, Audi, Scion all have them now. Split spokes can be a pain to clean if the split is narrow. At least in these examples you can readily clean between them with a sponge or microfiber mitt.

Just from those two close ups, I like the Z51 wheels better( to me the silver Z51 wheels are the best of all the available stingray OEM choices). To get a fair comparison between the Z51 and mustang wheels, probably need to see side by side photos of them on the cars.

Wheel styles come and go. Those in fashion are often adopted over a variety of makes. When I bought my '11 Mustagng GT Brembo package the wheels were dead ringers for those seen on a Porsche GT3...

Everybody is copying everyone....Not just wheels. Look at the styling of your average small and midsize cars.... Is that a Civic or a BMW?...Hmmm

As was said the vette wheels look lighter...better. Mustangs are not vettes, nor are Camaros.

Nobody said Mustangs were vettes. The OP posted about the 2 wheels, since they are very similar.

Mustang wheels look better IMO.
