Default Price increase 2015?

Historically they have increased the base price each year when things are selling well, C6 for example went from $44,190.00 to $49.880.00 between 2006 and 2010, the C4 went from $24,403.00 to $37,225.00.
Anyone heard anything on the 2015 price?

GM was selling every 1997 C5 they were building. When the 1998 C5 was released, it had the same MSRP of the outgoing 1997 C5.

Usually when the prices go up, it's because you get something more for it. GM has been good about keeping the prices reasonable. Just for fun, I went to Carsdirect.com and priced out a 2013 Based and an 2014 Base, both with the options I ordered on my car and was surprised to see that the price difference was less than $1,500. Given, with incentives now and the 2013 being the outgoing model, you can buy it for less than the factory price, but my point is, GM kept the price very similar. In my opinion, you get a whole lot more than $1,500 worth of additional items on a 2014. So I thank GM for keeping these cars reasonably priced to allow more regular folk like me to still afford one!

1997 C5 was a very short production run 9752 but in 1999 it went up by almost $2,000.00 . The C6 went up the second year, not much but up.

When I was a teenager they were 5k so they have definitely gone up...actually would be more accurate to say the dollar is worth less than 10% of what it was in the 60's. So if we continue to devalue the currency the price will have to go up for that reason alone.

My thoughts exactly. When I first heard about the 2014 I thought it would be like the late 70's , early 80's out of my price range at the time. I have 2000 miles on mine and haven't been able to get it out of the garage since November. Come on spring.

I am surprised that there hasn't been a price increase yet for the '14 MY. I expect that there will be and for sure for '15. How much...who knows?

How could they have a price increase within the same MY?

I sold cars years ago and sometimes there were as many as four price increases in the same model year!

Here are the prices of the 2009 base coupe throughout the year: $47045 , $48565, $49415 and $51060. I think 2007 had similar increases.

GM did it this year with the Silverado but they did it so they could increase the incentives to make it look like discounting Ford and Ram are doing, the net price basically stayed the same.

While they may increase the price I believe it will be by restocking options rather than raising the base price. They do this a lot when they analyze the options most people take and make them standard but raise the price to accommodate the increased content.

Based upon sales figures this year, I don't know why they wouldn't. Now what it will be--who knows...

It was actually in October and was a increase of $1500. That was a bit different, they did it so that they could offer larger incentives to make it seem like they were giving the customer a better deal, well it backfired and the Silverado isn't doing well. Dodge Ram is outselling it currently

As far as the C7, My crystal ball is in the shop but I wouldn't be surprised if the Z51 package goes up by $1000-$1500. The base price goes up by $500-800. At those prices people will still be buying the C7, I know I'd still buy it at those prices! JMHO

Where did you get these numbers from? They don't seem right to me, especially since the Corvette Black Book shows the price for the 2010 base coupe at $49,880.

These "black book" prices are a complete joke seeing as how people were REALISTICALLY getting base coupes for $40k OTD at the most.

If they don't have a mid-year increase for the '14MY, I expect a 2% increase for '15MY, so a $1000 on the base price and I'm guessing they raise the Z-51 a $1000 also.
