Default C7 Z06 official performance numbers.

From what I have just been told these are the 'official" performance numbers on the C7 Z06.

6.2L supercharged V8
625hp
635 ft/lbs
Transmission will be 7 speed manual, but there might be optional 8 speed automatics as well.
Carbon ceramic brakes will also be an option.

I'm not sure how accurate this is although I was told they're official. I just thought I would go ahead and share with the forum.

read this as well, I wonder how they got the torque higher than the HP assuming they used that centrifugal type of blower, but well find out. Horsepower figures do make sense to me, so even with it being slightly less HP than the ZR1 maybe the car will weigh a little less but definitely outperform the ZR1 in all aspects.

Cant wait!

Sounds great... Do you know what the "official" price of entry is?

Officially thanks for posting. Unofficially I think this thread is as useful as lipstick on a pig.

we got news on the performance figures of the c7 before its debut, rumors until we actually got it, those numbers make a lot of sense at least the horsepower figure does.

Getting a higher tq number is simply done by taking the number wherever it peaks in the rpm band, being centrifiacal I will peak at a higher rpm than the C6 ZR1, which means it going to really walk away from it at higher speed.
the 18 more hp means nothing the new Z06 is going to dominate the older ZR1 model, cause I don't see another performance model this time around, at least not for a long time.

Yep - same information I was given a couple of hours ago (I posted it in the 728 HP thread earlier). In addition, there is supposedly one exciting option they would not disclose until the official release - my hope it would an all-motor option.

The option is probably going in the trans department, I don't see GM going with 3 different motors this time around

Well, then they'd have 3 different transmission options. How about possibly a removable top? I don't know.

If I was to place a bet...first ever convertible option on the Z06. just makes sense with the stiffness of the new chassis.

Base price should be less, even with a supercharged engine, figuring this way:

Z51 coupe 1LT, 55k
+ FE4, 2k
+ Callaway SC/sport exhaust, 23k
= 80k to get started.

I suppose GM can toss in the wide body with big tires at the same price Callaway needs just for its powerplant package.

+ 2LZ, 5k
+ convertible, 5k
+ black wheels and VY paint and calipers, 3k

= 93k for the car that will be mine as long as we both shall live.

CCB should be optional, as it is not a good idea for those of us who have to drive on unpaved surfaces. Get a teeny rock between shoe and disk and hello new disk. Auto should be optional, but not for me, no matter how many speeds they cram in; I'm keeping three pedals unless and until I become physically unable to work them.

I would be surprised if they used a centrifugal blower. I would think it far more likely that they used an eaton tvs rotor pack like the LSA/LS9. If they did, hopefully it is the new 2nd gen rotor pack and 2.3L as opposed to the 1.9 in the LSA.

This thread is a F in JOKE.

ESC is making with high 7 pds almost 600 RWHP(thats close to 700 flywheel). If the new ZO6 is 625 hp(flywheel) supercharged, they would have it so restrictor plated it would be stupid to even supercharge it to begin with.

Honestly, why would anyone post such worthless information is really amazing.

Moderators should close this thread!!!!
