Default Base 1LT C7

Since joining CF, it seems to me that most people think the base 1LT is a cheap piece of crap.Everyone can't afford a $75,000. Vette, including yours truly. When my 1LT arrives I'll post some pics of my cheap C7.I may be wrong, just my opinion.

I've never seen such a thing here. In fact, just the opposite. There was a thread where a number of people were buying 1LTs. Compare a 1LT to a base Porsche, and the C7 1LT is literally loaded. The C7 is a great car and well equipped without even one option.

Knock that chip off your shoulder! There are so many factors that go into buying a car like this with finances probably at the forefront for a good number of buyers. If you've got a ticket to the Super Bowl...who cares where you sit! Welcome to the club, and if you ever get to the Philadelphia/Delaware area let me know, I'd love to see your ride.

I would have ordered a base 1LT if it had better wheel options, so instead I ordered a Z51 1LT.

I disagree with your premise entirely. IMHO most people here consider a base 1LT C7 a VERY desirable machine. Possibly not what they have or would order, but still an excellent ride.

Here is my 1LT, Non-Z51. I would have opted for the Z51 package if there wasn't a constraint, but I can do all of those upgrades myself. The only thing out of any of the other packages I would actually use would be the heated seats, so I guess I will just have a cold *** the few times I take it out in the winter.

Thanks! The list of mods is growing

So far I have done the following:
Added performance exhaust.
Added Z51 spoiler.
Pfadt Tune.
Passport Escort installed under my rear view mirror and hardwired to the battery/fuse box in the rear.
Powder Coated wheels black.
Windows tinted 15%.
Side markers also tinted.
Got the trunk cargo shade.
I have the Curb alert system, but need to find the time to install it.

Ordered the trunk compartment separator.
Ordered the car color license plate frame.
Ordered personalized license plates.
Ordered Pfadt headers, awaiting their arrival.

My Z51 in 1LT trim. It doesn't look cheap to me... but it was much cheaper compared to loaded siblings

I would think that it would be the only way to go if you wanted to go fast. The LT1 Base with or without the Z51 option would be the lightest ..........and we all know the least amount of weight translates into less HP to make it go fast

I splurged on some other options, but as to the interior, I totally went with the 1LT to save $8g's.

I actually kind of wish they had a 0LT package with the infotainment screen deleted, manually-adjusting-seats, and a regular old key for the ignition.

Its going to be my daily driver and I will mostly be the only one driving it. Once the seat is adjusted, its going to stay like that for months at a time.

I suspect I am going to need to upgrade the stereo to have enough power for top-down listening in the convertible, so would rather start from blank than have to pay for and then rip out the Bose powered speakers. All I really need is a dumb stereo front end with an accessory cord or Bluetooth to plug in my phone for all the tunes I would ever need.

I hate fat key fobs - they don't fit in the pocket well. I hardly ever lock my cars, so keyless entry is not something I would use.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, when I finally get one, it will most likely be a used 1LT, probably non Z51 at that. It's really got all the stuff I would really want anyway. (and I kind of like the looks of the non Z wheels better anyway)

I am quite active on this forum, and this is the first time I've ever seen the C7 1LT associated with "a piece of crap." Rant, indeed, but I look forward to your pictures.
