Stingray emblem a ripoff from a German car!
Was searching for German parts online last night for my 09 Opel GT and what did I see?
The Stingray emblem on the front fender is a ripoff of the Manta Ray emblem on an Opel Manta!
Just Google Opel Manta emblem for proof!

Scraping the splitter.
This thread takes the prize for "Stupidest Thread on Page 1". Maybe somebody will start one about the color of the valve stem caps to unseat it from the podium.

And can you believe it, GM used round wheels for the C7 just like the 1896 Benz-Patent Motorwagen. Over one hundred years of ripping off the Germans.
Having grown up on the coast around Stingrays I like the emblem...just not the creature that inspired it.

Opel has been a division of General Motors for 80 years, so all's fair.

I know what you said because I just read it.
I have been seeing this a lot and it makes no sense to me. I would like to understand.

I think instead of a "ripoff," it's because they look alike, and that's why Chev. didn't call it a Manta Ray, along with the fact they used Stingray in the past

Thanks for the at least sharing the fact that the two look alike, but, are in fact different
Off to find another thread busting on the tail lights, tires, or something
