C7 or C6 427

Owning a 427 my opinion may be partial but the 427 is the way to go. It obviously is a vert (which is not available right now in a C7) with a high performance LS7 and very well appointed. I don't buy the interior being cheap or the car being antiquated. No offense to the C7 buyers but they will be a dime a dozen like all Vettes within a year, the 427 will never be that. Heck I've had mine for a year and I haven't come across another yet.

Hi,
I think you have to give the C7 a chance before making a decision. The C7 is completely improved so I would want to test drive it first. For me a convertible is not a consideration. I don't like soft tops and little storage. With my coupe I can take the roof off and it feels like a convertible to me. I also have a cavernous amount of storage which comes in handy when making trips to the store. If you're buying a garage queen than I guess the storage is a moot point.

They are both great cars, but very different. The 427 is very unique, and rare. The C7 is the latest in Corvette technology, and seems to be a very impressive overall package. Depends what you want I guess, personally I would go with the 427, for the reasons Big Dan mentioned above.

If you were talking just a C6 and not the 427 I would say go for the C7. But the 427 is a whole other story so I would go for the 427.

I am not sold 100% on the design style of the C7 and no it is not the tail lights that I am talking about, but the overall performance and handling is from what I have read is something to think about. Also the idea of having the new C7 is another, but then again the 427 roadster is a one year run and the performance is there. I too agree that I find nothing about the C6 that says it is dated.
So I guess it really comes down to do you want the latest style and technology or do you want the grunt of the 505 HP 427 Corvette. I guess I may be a little partial to the C6 427, as my first Corvette came in 1968 with a 427/425 roadster.

In my opinion the 427 IS A STUNNER A LA BRIDGET BARDOT,RAQUEL WELCH ET AL in their younger days WHEREAS THE c7....NOT SO MUCH.To many scoops and sharp angles....and to new.1st year and all that stuff..with the discounts on the 427'S LEFT OUT THERE IT'S A NO BRAINER.

c7, no ifs ands or "butts" i really think you would be a lot happier with the c7 due to the fact of all the improvements, inside and out. as far as the back end, it isn't as bad as the c7 bashers say it is. whichever one you choose, good luck.

My plan has been to get a 427 vert after 2 or 3 years of depreciation. However, I am getting tired of reading about a new LS7 failure every week.
I'm having second thoughts about buying a LS7, even though I have always wanted one.
Maybe I'll just go with that supercharger on my LS2 after all...
