Looming Paint Disaster.....
I cringe at seeing these C7's sitting outside the plant knowing they will put covers on them to ship......with airborne dirt/dust, etc.,.....and if they cover them without a good cleaning.....the installation of the cover and the air moving it on the car during transport makes me very nervous. I would rather they don't even cover my car after it sits there for what could be several days.

I was fixing to use those very words, you beat me to it 
. Could be pre-production models. FWIW and knock on wood something doesn't turn into an incident, I haven't had a new car with paint issues from shipping since the 60's. And far as I know none of them including my Lexus had a cover.
