Bridgestone Potenza Pole Setter S0-4 non run flat in OEM sizes.
Quite, smooth and predictable with good wear.
Well rounded tire in testing including both wet and dry.

I'm now running the Firestone Wide oval Indy 500's in non runflat format. They have over 30K miles on them with 4/32" thread left, mostly highway miles.
I'm kinda leaning towards the Firestone WO runflats the next time, but I have liked the Indy 500's so much, I may stay with those.
I carry a compressor, a can of puncture seal, and a tire plug kit. I also have Onstar, so they can get a tow truck to me if I ever need one.
To the person that has tried both the Firestone RF, and Michelin RF, is there much difference in ride and quietness on the road?
I'm kinda leaning towards the Firestone WO runflats the next time, but I have liked the Indy 500's so much, I may stay with those.
I carry a compressor, a can of puncture seal, and a tire plug kit. I also have Onstar, so they can get a tow truck to me if I ever need one.

Kumho Ecsta SPT's were on my 05 Vette when I bought it about a month ago, and I'm happy with them so far. Have only gone about 2500 miles so far, but planning about a 3000 mile road trip soon. (round trip)
After reading some reviews on these tires, I don't think u can find a better tire for the price.

Yup, a 12v DC compressor. I've picked up a few nails and a screw over those 30K miles, and the DIC warned me. I was able to find the nail/screw with the tire on the car, pull them out and plug the hole without any issues. Now if that was at night time, I would of pumped it up, and plugged it next morning at the hotel, or used the puncture seal as a last resort.

In 50 years of driving I have been in only one car ( not mine either) that the tire went flat leaving us to change the tire.
The RF tire just offers to much compromise in ride and handling for what I consider a unneeded technology.
As mentioned a repair kept with a air compressor is easily stowed in the rear cubby.
Also pre trip inspection will detect a problem in the tire that could led to a further problem down the road.
For me it is a non issue, the RF just are to stiff and rough.
Even with near 3 million miles of commercial big rig driving spanning 35 years,with 18 tires, I have only a couple of totally flat tires while driving.
Blow outs are not common with the new tire technology, unlike the tires of many decades ago.
