I just put a set of 2013 NPP mufflers on a base 2006 C6 No M2W, I like the sound of both pipes open. Bit of a problem with the passenger side muffler, as the connecting pipe to the H was straight while curved a bit on the C6. No problem...flame spreader on the old torch and it curved right around into place!! Driver side went in with no modifications.
Sure sounds nasty!

Guys, I've swapped out 100's of C6 exhausts
(following info is only regarding the base cars LS2/3 and Grandsport)
MUFFLERS:
2008 NPP IS unique in the angle of the over axle pips
2009-2013 NPP is the SAME
H or X pipes:
The H-pipes changed in 2008 to an X-pipe(2005-2008 X/Hpipes and OEM mufflers will interchange)
In 2009 GM changed the Xpipe at the rear, changing the angle of the aft pipes, which is why you must match up the same year mufflers with the X/H pipe
Then again in 2012 w/ adding another set of cats
Hope this helps

The 2008 NPPs will fit on your 05 perfectly. The 09+ ones will need to be wiggled inward to account for the different over axle pipe shape and routing.
And vice versa, the 05-08 axleback will fit the 09+ but you need to tilt the mufflers outward making the tips not flat so the over axle pipes dont hit the frame.
