Visor sticker removal
Pulled off the driver side warning sticker with nothing left behind. So I decided to take off the passenger side. It now looks pretty bad and cant get the white residue off. Any suggestions. Tried soaking it in goo gone. No luck[IMG][/IMG]

I have the same problem removing the glue from the passenger visor sticker. I tried Goo Gone and Goof Off but the glue is still there. The driver side left no glue mark at all, but the passanger side was a different story

Try using a hairdryer to heat up the residue then use the sticky side of packing tape (or duct tape) to remove it. You will probably have to dab at it. If you heaten it up too much you risk damaging the visor and if you don't heaten it up enough then it will stay on.

I still don't understand this fascination with taking the visor labels off. I never fuc** with anything that has adhesive in any of my cars and now your finding out the hard way. Couldn't leave well enough alone?

replacement stickers
some company that was here on forum years ago, has custom stickers same size as visor warnings.
I got a LMB F55, born date(sept 06) on my driver's side;
and a hot a## woman in thong on passenger side sayin:
"due to extreme acceleration it is advised tor remove all clothes before buckling up".
put em on 6 years ago and they've aged well, some fading but adhering perfectly

To answer your original question, I removed both visor decals on my 2011 GS and (like others also indicated) had more glue residue remaining on the passenger visor. I had really good luck with combination of using a hair dryer and Goo-Gone to remove most of the remaining residue.

3M Adhesive Remover, available in many (but not all) auto paint/parts stores, removed the glue from my visors. In fact, it removed the labels themselves; I used the 3M to wipe down the labels before installing stick-on covers and instead the labels fell off in my hands. Turns out they have zillions (I counted them!) of tiny holes, the 3M went through them and dissolved the adhesive.

You might try either making or buying these or something similar. Though I suspect they might have adhered better if you had left the original sticker on.

eBay item number:
Another alternative to Goo Gone is Goof Off. Its a little different ingredients. I trust Goo Gone more because you can smell the alcohol in Goof Off

I removed mine on the driver's side with the same results: Goo still on visor. I ordered the black (blank) covers from Corvette Mods and they served well to cover the goo on one and remaining sticker on the other. No problems so far in S. LA summer heat.

Those stickers are required by law . . . not supposed to be removed. Don't let anyone know you took em off if you trade the car or they may charge you to replace the visors . . . sounds crazy I know but seriously, this exact thing happened when my friend traded his car in for a Lexus.

So they are actually stick to the one that you pulled the original sticker off of? I've been wanting to get them for mine since I have a bit of the white crap left on there but I always read in the ad they wont work if the original sticker is already removed.
