Green "O" Rings
I am in the process of installing all new green "O" rings in all hoses of my AC system. Several of the green "o" rings are fatter than the original GM ones. Does anyone know if that's a problem? If it is, what is the solution?
Thanks, Bob

How much thicker? I'm not sure on Corvettes but GM used fractional and metric o-rings. They also used captured and non captured.
The correct ones are important but will immediately leak if the wrong one is used..

I have just returned from the NAPA store. They were able to "match" all but two rings. The very small one for the expansion valve and another one. He gave me a black one for the expansion valve in case I could not find a green one. I will try our local AC guy tomorrow.
Thanks again, Bob

I helped my buddy change ac hoses last week in his 69 and all is good. No leaks.
