Default So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Well guys the time for change came Friday after 5 1/2 years. Traded the vette in. I waited for the C7 dutifully but in the end I just could make the tail design work in my mind.

I've had a great time with C6 but I needed something more practical due to a health issue and upcoming surgery. My car had to be something I can get in and out of easily but I also wanted vette like performance.

So without further adieu here is the new ride.

Good luck to everyone and thanks for all the advice over the years!

42! Best of luck with the new ride. Had an 2012 XF Base with the V8 (not the new supercharged V6). Very nice car. The only issue I had was it's overall traction in anything other than completely dry roads. Even tried new rubber before I decided that wasn't what I wanted overall. Hope the R version treats you well. The www.jaguarforums.com user community is pretty easy to jump into. But the site traffic will not be anywhere close to here. So check back when you are bored!

I recall practically the first time you posted, mostly because of your car's color. Good luck and enjoy the new car. Hope everything turns out well for you.

Good catch to those that made the "Hitchhikers guide" connection. Its been great and will still come around from time to time. I will post some impressions of the Jag as soon as I get a little more seat time.

This forum was great as I lurked and read up on the C6 for the last few days. It helped me make the decision to go ahead. Thanks to all who contribute here adn I look forward to becoming an active participant.

The new Jags are hot cars. You made a good choice. A bit expensive for me but, if you got it, why not spend it!!! Good luck with it!!

Beautiful car. If it doesn't work out, remember, "my face is a Maserati.......a Maserati........"
