2010-2013 problems?
I read the forum every day, and have noticed over the last couple years,it seems that the 2011-2013 C6 Corvettes have many more problems that the 2010 model year, especially the GS. I own a 2010 GS and "knock on wood" never had any gremlins pop up like I read about here on the 2011-2013 models. This is just an observation I have noticed. Any one else notice this?

My '11 was trouble free till it was hit in the front end. Took the entire nose clip off. That's when the issues started.

My 13 was a pile out of the factory. Alignment bad, different color brake calipers, carpet not lined up, rear driver side targa top holder loose and floppy, rear bin doors don't close flush, both headlights crazed (cracked internally), driver seat doesn't look mounted "level", battery leaking acid out of the caps, had neon green spray from A/C on hood liner, window trim oxidized, glove box handle rattles annoyingly.
Bought it with 7 miles on it. 4,300 now.
Luckily the engine was built in Mexico.

My GS has had zero defects and run perfectly for 16,000 miles so far. I had an initial front end alignment done to PFADT street specs. and I'm ready for a set of tires soon but that's par for the course. Other than that its been oil changes. I'm very satisfied.

Driving home from Bowling Green after my museum delivery in my 2012, I had the wiper cowling vibration noise at highway speeds. I took it to the dealer and they fixed the problem. 4000 miles later, no problems...

My 2 cents- - forums like this are notorious for gripes about problems. Like everything else in life, you just don't hear about the good stuff as much as the bad. Human nature.
I've been a member of a LOT of car forums (because I trade cars a LOT), and one thing I've found for certain: "If you hang out on a specific car forum long enough, it's unlikely you will ever purchase one of those cars, because of all the issues presented".
Vettes may be the exception though ;-)

Only had my 2012 coupe for 10 months and 5K miles, no problems so far. It does sit in an open carport every night and does get driven in the rain. Also collects a lot of bugs on the front on the interstate, but those get washed off weekly.

The Corvette though seems to carry a higher degree of acceptance for the flaws by its owners.
If my 08 was to be a DD I would not of bought it, but as a fun only car I can enjoy it, after all it is a 430 hp Corvette.

I've had my '12 Coupe for a little over 9 months and have just about 6000 miles on it. The only problem I have (which is really no big deal) is that the passive lock does not open the drivers door. I have to use the remote unlock button. The passenger side works fine and both doors lock when walking away. It has been like this since day 1 and never bothered to take it to the dealer. Would be nice if it worked correctly though.

I agree forums basically get negative comments. Many times you have to be motivated by something or mad to post.
AND we just bought a new washer dryer......... Sales person said let me bring up the reviews........ I said don't bother. Same model washer........... some folks it 5 star best thing since slice bread......... others it's crap.
How can that be???
Some folks are too dumb to operate one, some others got a lemon. Lemons exist in everything. Products, people, relationships........

All five of my Corvettes have been daily drivers - I have more than 600K miles in Corvettes.
My last C4 had 160,000+ on it when the PITA Optispark went out, but all in all cheap and dependable driving.
With 117,000 miles on my current C6 I would not hesitate to get in it and drive it anywhere in the US (flooded areas excluded.)

9400 miles on my '13 GS with manual transmission. Multiple track days as well as the street miles. No problems
A lot of the "issues" are well known nuances with the car..."The Nav sucks"...well, no kidding, like that hasn't been brought up 1000 times since 2005. Now someone is surprised about it in 2013? Did they not test drive the car and look at the Nav or do any research before buying? "The seats suck". Really? Where have they been since 1997 and the C5? Did the person not drive the car first?
So maybe there's 1000 cars out of 35+ thousand made from 2011-2013 that have real technical issues. That means that 97% are, in essence, trouble free. I'll take my chances.
