So, with my power, hooking on Mexican streets has become an issue somewhat. I'm curious to what people are running for the big power cars to hook decently on a non prepped surface? For now I have some 295/45/17s et streets on c5z06 fronts to play at the track, and when the prep is right I haven't had any traction issues. I've yet to really mess with them on the street.

I'm curious as to do I need to go ahead and say screw it and drop the money for a full pfadt coilover + sway bar setup, or will something like some DRMs on all 4 corners do? I'll be doing some test hits in Mexico on around 22-24 psi and giving a quick spin to get some heat to them to see how they do for roll runs, and perhaps a small burnout for dig runs.

might be overkill for you, but I like the 325/45-17 m&h radials with drm shocks.

I just think that would be way too tall with 3.42 gears, but with this torque curve, maybe not.

The 28" tire is fine with that type of power.

28" are fine and M&H are my favorite "Mexico" drag radials.

Id give the Hoosier drag radial a try they don't last long but they hook amazingly well. I'm at 800 ft/lbs of torque and they hook.

Yea, you're probably right on the edge of having the power to justify the 28" tire. You might be able to get that 295 to work on the street, or even one of the smaller diameter hoosiers. If it doesn't slow you down too much, the M&H will put the power down though.

The Pfadt drag sway helps a ton. I have stock suspension aside from that, and I hook just fine on 345/35R18 ET Streets. I make 800ft-lb on my lowest setting and don't have issues.

Thanks DSteck, exactly the type of info I'm looking for. I'll probably go 18s on all 4 corners eventually, so that's good to hear.
