trw fiberglass leaf spring
I am looking at purchasing a TRW fiberglass leaf spring from a 1977 corvette. Does anyone know if this spring will fit a 1979 or what the difference it? Has anyone used these springs before and what do you think of them?

Physically the spring is the same but do you know what the spring rate is?

Spring weight is supposed to be 335 from what I was told. I have just seen some springs that say years 68-82 and others that say years 68-77/78-79/80-82. I did not know if the mounts were different from year to year.

I'm very happy with my VBP leaf springs. The ride height was spot on right after install. I'd recommend them, as I've heard about issues with other springs in the past.

I could be mistaken, but I didn't think mono-leaf springs were available in the '77 C3. In any event, a '77 spring is 35+ years old. Now, if the item is "dirt cheap" and you can verify that there are no cracks or stress-risers anywhere on the surface of the spring, why not?
Otherwise, buy a new one.
