After 40 years of riding motorcycles and a few shoulder operations, my wife and doctor suggested I stop riding.
My wife let me know it was time for a Corvette.
We purchased a 2006 blue convertible and are really having fun.
I do wish I could upgrade the navigation system and have heard of the Lockpick 360-2 but I do not know anyone who installs them. We are in CT for the summer and headed to St. Petersburg in the fall.
I do not know the proper terms for as corvette, but I guess I will learn them.

Welcome to the Forum!

Consider changing the head unit to a Kenwood or Pioneer. They have really good units and come with integrated back-up cameras.

LET THE MODDING BEGIN!! One more thing.....

Welcome to the world of Corvette driving, it's blast has you just found out, and when you hit Florida checkout the local clubs and events, and that should keep you busy specially with the top down, wear hat.

Welcome, from Northern California! I ride bikes as well so, I was right at home with the vert as I'm sure you are.

Go to the Audio & Electronics forum and they will be more than glad to assist you. Also go to the Northeast forum to find members close to you, and they will be glad to make referrals for installations and repairs.

This is a great forum and resource for the Corvette lover! Have fun!

Welcome! LeMans Blue is one of the best-ever C6 colors. What specifically do you not like about the factory navigation system? I know it's not the best one out there but it's still pretty darned good IMO. Keep in mind that if you replace it with an aftermarket unit you'll give up the integration with the HUD.

Default Iphone and camera would be nice

I am not sure how to respond to a message. It would be nice to connect an iphone or iPad and a camera would be nice.

I too was a longtime Harley Davidson enthusiast and rider. (40yrs). As much as I miss my Electraglide, Corvettes have now filled that void. Unfortunately, once I relocated to Florida I gave it up. Way too many biker deaths down here. Bikers don't get the respect on the roadways we deserve. Anyway, When you come to St. Petersburg, don't forget to hit Clearwater Beach and Gulf Blvd. You guys will love the area not to mention the great weather, especially in a Vette!!

Congrats - get some pics up.

Re: the lockpick, i believe they discontinued their offering. Might want to give them a call to confirm.

If in fact they're discontinued your next best bet is swapping out the unit for an aftermarket one.
