Default New product idea - horn

Any manufactures looking for a new product idea? I'd like a good horn. A recent post talked about air horns and some members posted ideas on fitting them or going to pep boys for some Euro sounding attention getters. I use the horn rarely. But when I do, I want it loud and commanding respect. You can market it as the "Road Rage Blaster horn." I'm thinking something either train horn, fire engine or ocean liner with the startle effect of the shrill German Police siren. It also needs to combine the technology of the Rumbler now marketed to American law enforcement which uses low frequency to shake the car ahead of you. Cool! I want the functional equivalent of "Get the **** out of the way!" or "Get your head out of your ***!" Oh, and it needs to fit discretely in my Corvette. Am I asking too much?

You could always just deploy a finger to communicate your displeasure with other's driving skills!

No, they can't see it through my tinted windows. Besides, they are not paying attention to other cars in the first place. I need something more aggressive that a toot, but less than a shotgun.

How about I sell you the horns from my Honda Fit. It won't scare anyone, but they will be laughing so hard they will have to pull off the road.

Wow? So sorry you wasted your time not only reading my post but offering a comment of no value. FYI, we had a fine 4th here in Tampa albeit rather hot with thunderstorms.

Not even sure what my cars horns sound like. Use a horn maybe once every 3 years for some clown sitting at a green light.

Being a Police Detective you should be able to figure that answer out all by yourself. Or if you wish head over to Winn Dixie and pick up a can of boiled peanuts.

A few clowns around here have equipped their Hummers with train horns. This has exactly the opposite of the intended effect. When you startle other motorists with a train sound, everybody looks around for the _train_, not some attention-seeker in a car.

If anything, sounding like something you're not is a good way to get ignored, or even accidentally brake-tested. So much for people getting out of your way.

Whatever you do, please get a horn that sounds like a car.
