Default cam only speedway white z #'s

mods are:
Torquemax stage 3 cam (235/243 .623/.621 111 +2)
cloyes billet timing set with c5r chain
brian tooley .660 springs with titanium retainers
brian tooley 7.4 pushrods
kooks 1 7/8 headers
kooks offroad x-pipe
corsa indy axleback
RM twin intake
ngk tr6 plugs
msd wires

the dyno numbers were a little lower than i had hoped for (415-420whp) but it feels strong on the street. Torque curve is nice and it didnt drop off hp at all. Im thinking of raising the limiter from the current 6600-6800 rpm.

That's pretty lumpy. How does it drive? Slow speed stuff etc. The "parking lot" test?

Any 1/4 mile plans?

Its got some cam surge as you would expect but its nothing crazy. About the same surge as my ms3 I had in my f body. I wanna take it to the track one day but with the stock drive train and clutch it may just be a trap race.

I think you'll be fine at the track. My stock clutch did well when I was cam-only. Once I added some heads, and FAST intake....the clutch would drop to the floor on the 2-3 shift

I just made 405 and 383 with the same mods and a 227/239 cam. it made a great torque curve and mid range power like i wanted and is very streetable. they bumped my limiter up to 7100 so i can wind it out to about 6800 as well. there is definitely some left on the table but its really safe now and I'm happy with what its at. for now. enjoy

Sounds like a badass cam. With heads, intake and gears I bet that thing would fly. Don't worry about the numbers.

That's a pretty big cam for stock heads... Even for a SW Z...

Enjoy the ride, get heads when you can.

I miss my SW Z

And, for what it's worth, I spun my stock bottom end LS6 to 7000+ many times...
