Default Premiere Edition...do you like it

Do you like this Premiere Edition C7, as marketed with wheels/luggage/door sills etc.

What's not to like, being available in black would have been a good move.

I'm not going to get one, but I think it's a great strategy by GM to get cars into the showrooms. And the buzz created by it helps too. (Disregarding the vitriol spewed here about it.)

I would never opt for those "directional" wheels that go the wrong direction on the passenger side. After having chrome wheels on my vettes since 1998, my C7 will have the black wheels (so that's two strikes for the wheels). I also don't care for the stinger hood stripe and have absolutely no need for the luggage set. Love Laguna Blue. I'm also going with yellow calipers:

We are getting almost the Identical Car, except;
I stuck with the Z51 Black Calipers;
I am NOT getting the Black Side Mirrors/Spolier

good choice, my man

Wheels are really the worst part. I hate them and have from the beginning. Especially in chrome

All in all it's fine but it's not a car that I'll buy. I don't care for the wheels (much prefer the painted twin-spoke Z51 wheels), the hood stripe I could take or leave, and the luggage, while cool, isn't something that I have any use for. The Laguna Blue rocks and is on my very short list of colors that I have to decide among before ordering. (The other is Lime Rock Green.) It would have been interesting had they decided to make some of these in both new colors. Giving credit where credit is due, though, I think the idea behind the car is a good one and I applaud the Corvette team for doing it.

Because GM doesn't make decisions by polling internet forums and chat rooms?

First of all, I greatly dislike the color combination.

But my real complaint is that I think the concept is not in keeping with a world class sports car. The name "premier" conjures up images of something with a landau vinyl top. And equipping it it with luggage and chrome wheels screams "Rolls Royce" designer package.

I would have much rather they offer something that was more of a track package with maybe a matching "Corvette" helmet, "cup" tires and such.

Because 86% of the people polled DON'T understand that this is NOT a retail package. A customer can't order a "Premiere Edition"....which has been covered, ad nauseum. It is to be used as a display car and then sold later. Certainly, a customer could replicate it if they choose, except for the cheesy dash plaque.

I really don't know how many WAYS and TIMES this has to be explained so that people understand what this edition is for.

Jimmy

Because your poll is meaningless.

My poll says that 100% of respondents say that your poll is 100% suckage. See how that works?

I have NO ways and times for this, I've done my part on this subject.....I actually find it embarrassing that supposed SPORTS CAR enthusiasts would start at least 10 threads whining about the "Premiere Edition" because they thought GM was going to reveal the high performance C7 when the regular performance C7 isn't even out yet.

So, how about another bouncy discussion about DCT/AWD?

Indeed. Makes one long for the Z51 verses F55 dust ups of 2007.

1. You realized you don't have to participate if you don't like the topic?
2. It's all good - it 's just the hot button topic of the week, no more
3. Passion, good or bad, surrounding our car and hobby, is natural
4. It's Saturday night - have an adult beverage and laugh at that with which you don't agree
5. This is a Internet Blog Site - not the Wall Street Journal
