C5 just not working?
I bought a gorgeous 03 my C5 coupe. a yr ago with 15k miles. The body style is just not working for me. It looks too long and a little bulbous to me. Do you think I would appreciate a 2006 C6 much better.
The reason I ask is I dont want to get to deep into financial mods on the C5

I never bought a C5 for the same reasons you are feeling now.
I do have a C6.......and love it.....if that means anything to you. Enjoy whatever you end up with.

I hear C5 seats are more comfortable then C6, and never own C5, went from C4 to C6, and love everything about the car.

I agree..
The C5, although in a completely different "design and performance class" than the "uncurvy" C4, never really grew on me (styling-wise)...appearing too long in both the front and rear.
Being a C3 guy, the C6 FINALLY brought back the sexy curves of yesteryear....some of which are gone again, with the angular C7.
I've never driven a C4 or C5, but the C6 is exhilarating, comfortable, and fuel efficient. The lines are sleek and sexy, and never fails to draw a crowd!!
Best of luck with your decision!

If you thought it was gorgeous a year ago when the C6 had been out for 7 years already (I'm sure you'd seen a few before getting your C5) what changed your mind to the point where now it seems too long and bulbous?

I love the look of the C5. If I could have I would have kept my C5 and bought my C6. IMO I think the C6 is a more refined C5. Comparing the two I don't see too much difference in roominess and you can't beat having an LSX motor in either.

This is the C6 forum, what answer did you think you would get!?!
But...
I own both, and actual like the C5 styling on the outside better, but the interior is MUCH nicer in the C6, especially in the 2013. The seats are awesome! Plus a newer car is a newer car. That in itself has value and peace of mind.
I feel the C5 is a much lower and longer car, which I prefer, but for some is harder to drive. The C6 just feels smaller but also feels softer, probably a difference in the C6 being a base and my C5 being a Z06. The smaller feeling makes this a car my wife can easily drive which is perfect.
The other highlight of the newer C6 is the motor, 430HP of motor, all under factory warranty. No way any C5 can compare to that!
The real answer is if you like the new C6 style, get it... But with a new model on the horizon, the C7, you may want to wait and compare all 3!
Good to have choices!!!!!

I always thought the C5 I owned was to big and the shifter sucked.Looks wise it wasn't really my taste either..I actually liked the C4 look better and hence,I love the C6 look and feel!
