2021 C6 of the Year Finalist - Modified

Default Quick Spray Detailers >

I have pretty much just used Zaino products on my cars in the past. I am sure there are other products just as good as Zaino, but in my case, I just got used to Zaino, and it did shine nice.

Well, I ran out of "Zaino Z6 Ultra Clean Gloss Enhancer Spray" tonight half-way through applying on my GS. The deal is, I don't want to go and order a bottle of Zaino on the internet right now. Just looking for a detailer spray I can buy locally to finish up my car.

I was thinking of going to Walmart and buying a bottle of "Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Detailer". I think it's basically about the same as the Zaino Z6 when used as a quick shine between polishing jobs.

Not to get into a wax debate here .... just wondering if anyone here has used both the Zaino Z6 and the Meguiar's ... Did you like the results of the Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Detailer in comparison?

Thanks,

I use Eagle One Wipe & Shine Detailer, it is great for the paint and the head lights.

All quick detailers are is fillers and oils. They're just adding a little reflectiveness by filling any microscratches.

I suspect most any difference one sees in them is slightly different formulas, or placebo effects.

That said, Ultimate Quick Detailer is a very good product, work quite well.

Pledge. Buy the lemon kind if you like the smell. Been using it on Corvettes since 2001 and nothing beats it.

When I ran out of Z6 I used some Z8. I Like the Z8 more. Now I use it most all the time.

Look for "Meguiar's ultimate detailer for black. It gave me the best shine of all.

The Mequiars Ultimate detail spray is a good product and you will not be disappointed with the results.

Meguiars ultimate is good although I've been won over by Adams quick detailer. You can buy this little travel size version and then a gallon jug of it and it lasts a very long time: smell is pretty awesome too :-). I use it all the time, I've only actually washed my Vette four times in two years of ownership, everything else has been California duster or Adams.

I use Adams but use Meguiars in the past. I have to order Adams detailing spray, but Meguiars is available at any auto parts house. I think Meguiars is a good detailing spray.

I've tried all mentioned here and Zaino Z6 is my favorite. Z8 is what I would use prior to a show. It's good stuff too

This stuff comes from Autogeek. Pinnacle Crystal Mist. This stuff doesn't streak, smear or smudge.

I also use and like Z6 & Z8. I keep a small spray bottle of Z6 diluted 1 to 1 for use on the road in the sun.

Almonds and Strawberry smell ... Sal Zaino is one smart guy. While he manufactures a great product, he knows that if his "boutique" line of products smelled like kerosene, he wouldn't get 25% of the sales he now enjoys.
