Default TPI intake ducting

I've had a TPIS miniram setup on my '80 for a while now with a slinky hose duckting to the air filter mounted in front of the air con.
Has anyone got or know of a better setup.
I'm thinking about cutting a hole beside the radiator to get the air filter in front of the radiator.
or runnuing through the origanal ducting over the radiator & into an airbox / filter.

fyi, the clutch fan is gone, I'm running a couple thermo's

You flipped your hood to open bassackwards. Any way to run your type of setup with a normal hood?

I run a air filter in front of the rad by notching the top of the rad shroud and shorting the hood prop to restrict the opening. The filter sits about 4 inches above the oil cooler so it don't get too much water splash.

The air feed is 4 inch diameter tubing that is flattened oval where it goes over the rad. I don't have FI but this should work the same as my carb system cold air feed.
