Tried almost everything?
Hi My name is Rob and I have two corvettes one 1989 convertible, And a 2002 convertible. I am trying to sell the 1989 Roadster, but I have owned it since 1993 and have replaced just about everything, & I still have a strange whistle chirping sound that occurs when I step on it a little bit and it shifts from first to second? I am stumped. lots of new stuff! New belt tensioner, air conditioner pump bearing, power steering pump. alternator, And new smog pump. Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Rob that is just one of those noises that one has to hear to diagnose, it could be anything from a belt slipping because of a loose tensioner to a U joint going bad.
My advice is to sell the car as is and let the new owner in on everything you have tried so he can eliminate those items if he chooses to correct the problem.

I sometimes have the exact same noise!
I wanna say its the belt slipping! But it bugs me alot. If you find out what it is let me know please ive been looking around myself though.
Also I am curious, Is the frisbee on your car?
