I'm sorry if I kill a deal, but if you already have a key fob and it will not work you more than likely just need to solder 6 points and it will fine forever! I just fixed mine and I've never soldered in my life.

I still need one, the original one that I have is broken internally. Thanks, hopefully someone has one lying around. Jay

I just found one in my parts drawer. It was from my '97. The battery is dead but I'm quite sure it works. I would be willing send it to you and if it works out for you just send me what you think it is worth. Beats spending up to a hundred bucks for a new one. Send me a pm or email as I usually don't check the C5 section here very often any more.

Here is a description of what I have: GM #10253839 C5 CORVETTE W/ PASSIVE Slide switch Factory OEM KEY FOB Keyless Entry Car Remote

I received an email from Roy, 350nizmo, also expressing interest in the FOB so he will be second in line if Jay does not want it.

I have 3 and don't really need more than two. I would sell the one with signs of wear on the printing for $50 shipped....I'm using it now to preserve the printing on the other two. It is the one with the passive switch on it...my car is a 97...same fob you need.

I also have one. It is actually from a '99 FRC that my friend sold about 1-1/2 years ago. It worked when he sold the car.

If you want it, I will mail it to you. It may need a battery by now, but
if it works you can send me whatever you feel it is worth.

The forum and it's members have been good to me for the past 13 years and I am happy to help another member.

PM me if you want it.
