Default Pipes or no? Would like your opinion

I'm just finishing up my custom convertible and I'm really stuck on making a decision to put on side pipes or not. The car is not this color anymore. It is being painted black with a titanium stripe from nose to tail. I have used Photoshop to put the pipes on.

What Do You Think? pipes or no?

I'm not a fan of side pipes on a C3. They don't flow with the swoopy lines of the shark body. Side pipes are a C2 thing.

I like the look and would say do it, but you will have serious issues with them dragging. I lowered my C3 one inch and would not go any lower with pipes. I have to back out my driveway to keep from dragging.

I love pipes on a C3.

For some reason your car looks too modern for pipes, could be the wheels.

Your car looks nice and you could pull it off with or without. The engraved pipes suits the modern wheels.

Most of the other decisions have been easy. This one is either a $1500 upgrade or mistake. Also, the car now sits just a little higher so bottoming out is not so much of a problem.

It is my car but I have had several opinions on the sidepipe thing. That's why I wanted to get a popular opinion poll from you guys. I'm a little old school and the pipes would work fine for me but......my GF (and there's the problem) loves the sleek more modern look without the pipes not to mention she has burned her leg once on my other cars pipes I appreciate all the input it will help with my (or should I say our) decision.

The only opinion which amounts to anything is yours.

You need to make sure you have heat shields so no one burns themselves but I think side pipes on a C3 look great and sound great.

With the white paint I think the black rockers accent nicely with the black in the wheels. With the car being black then the chrome pipes might add that same nice accent to the chrome in the wheels.

Photoshop the car black
