Default My 'new' Corvette!

I've went from a black on black C4, to a black on black C5, now to this beauty. A 2005 Victory Red C6. I have always wanted a C6 for as long as I can remember! I will be picking it up tomorrow! Got it for $25k. Automatic, clean and clear title and car fax, 43k miles, and was owned and driven by grandparents. All the records with it. I'm excited to get it...I've never even got to sit in a C6 before because nobody I know around here has one!

What do you think about the price of it? About right?

Also, does it have an AUX input so I could listen to my iPod off of it?

Nice! I got my 05 with same mileage for $27K almost 3 years ago. So I'd say that price is close to normal for a car in that condition.
It does not have aux input but one can be added easily. Do a search here and you'll find lots of info on it.
BTW, those grandparents painted that center console and the door handles. It does not come from the factory like that. And I'd loose the louvers on the tail lights. Just my opinion.

Will do. I had to add one on my C5 so I will do the same to this one.

Looks like you got yourself a really clean car. I would take off the louvers as well. Not my cup of tea. I would look into lowering on the stock bolt as well as it looks to be sitting a little high. Oh, and since it is a 2005 I strong recommend a battery tender. My 2005 was a really bad case of DBS. Enjoy!

I just got an 05 back in March. Paid 29k. 19k miles.
Black on black 6 speed.
Battery tender is a must.
Check out the spec ipod adapter. Works great and easy install.
Best of luck.

Are they bad about draining the battery I'm guessing? I saw that someone had mentioned on the 2005 and early 2006's to put the car in reverse after it is parked to turn off to turn all electical devices..is this true? Would it be recommended?

Battery drain - YES, big issue..at least with my 2005.

Reverse - You have an automatic, no need to place it in reverse. If it was a M6, you would need to put it in reverse to "turn off" everything.

Also, the louvers will be gone the day I get it. I'll put them for sale on here and ebay. My future projects on the car:

Loudmouth exhaust.
Upgraded touchscreen stereo
Dark tinted windows.
And wheels like these below

OP: Congrats on your new Vette!!! Here are two of many threads for your question about aux input. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...completed.html & http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...post1581512589 Also if you are looking to do any mods on your car, you may want to take a look at the FAST intake manifold. One of the BEST mods for the LS2.

Congrats, I have the Ipod hookup that coupled up to the Sat radio wiring in the Drivers side rear wheel well. Very easy to do, never had an issue with it

They bought the car from a dealership in 2007. They said it is stock, but I know it's not. :P I didn't argue with them though, I think they think it really is stock so oh well. I like it anyways.

Wow I didn't even know they had Satellite Radio in them I'll probably go that route until I can afford a nice touchscreen stereo. That's one thing I do not like about the car is the stereo. The stock stereo looks like it's from the 80's.
