Default F1R to F1X swap : Pump gas numbers

here is my original build thread from stock motor D1 to 434 with f1r.
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-f...rts-again.html

all parts are bought from Dallas performance. including all 3 blowers
Taylor was always awesome to deal with and getting parts through.

My builder/tuners name is Sam Miller and is well known in the LSX community for building FAST nitrous cars and boosted cars.

I have to thank Sam for always taking the time to answer all my questions ( and i ask a LOT of questions) and always do fantastic work on the car... his work is second to none in my opinion.

I decided that i wasnt happy with the numbers my F1R made on pump and through the filter with 4" pully (926/896) as over 6400 rpm it seemed to be running out of air.

We did a Direct f1R to F1X swap, moving over the 4" pully to the X.

eventually i will do bigger injectors and a clutch at which point we shall pull the filter, do a C16 kill tune

here are the results

93 octane/meth.
4" pully.
Dallas performance 4.5" Big mouth and filter.
STOCK NPP
stock ls7 intake.

it seems all f1X cars went straight to the X.. and posted full kill setups. i want to see what it would make on pump gas as i get in and drive it when ever i go out.

Also, i was very interesting to see a Directed R to X swap on the same car, same dyno, same pully and compare.
The tune is also VERY conservative.. it has WAY more in it IMO.

once i do a clutch, ill do a c16/!filter kill tune but leave the 4" pully on it.

That's what I'm talking about! My tuner called it a game changer last year when comparing it with the F2. That's some serious power.

very.. sub 5k it lost maybe 10/10.. over 5000 it just pulls like a train.

what i know based on the tune and setup is that it still has a LOT more left in it when i build up the drive train... but still 1100 on pump and drives great is very impressive..
the tune is amazing.. @ 930 rwhp i drove it in sub freezing temps in the middle of a snow fall. my tuner drove it back from the dyno to his shop in a huge raind fall.. no problems at all.. the builder and his tuning ability just amaze me.

I appreciate you doing this-now I just gotta resist an F1X-lol!!!!

What did you do for the intercooler piping? Did you use a 3.5" to 3" reducer or build a new discharge pipe?

this right here is another indecator of how much more is left in the combo.
the pipe down from the Blower to the FMIC is 3" still (3.5" reducer) but it isnt the silicone piece that comes with the pro charger kits.

Taylor @ DP fabbed up a metal discharge pipe with both of my BOVs mounted on it.
FMIC to TB is 3" as well.

i can only imagine what it would make if i did 3.5" piping to a bigger FMIC? its the same FMIC that came with my d1SC kit.

thanks for all the kind words.. but all the credit goes to my builder/tuner Sam miller.. you have no idea how many times a day i pester him with questions and how many times he goes over the car to make sure its perfect before giving it back to me.
