It went through the Mecum auction last night. Is it real?

I saw it and it was either a COPO or Brass Hat special order car. At first I thought it was a little ghastly but when they panned around to the green interior it complimented the stinger and it didn't look too bad. For sure you'll never see another one.

It does not take a COPO to get a non standard paint and interior combo. Just a over ride when ordering the car. A picture if the trim tag will tell the story

from smith chevrolet in hammond, in
car was on the proteam website sometime ago. i think it dropped off as part of the big sale. i grew up in hammond and use to buy parts from smith chevrolet (i believe the reference to smith brothers is incorrect). interesting color combo.

It was advertised as a COPO. Just walking by, you didn't notice the Green unless you were looking for it. The flash brightened it up.

I grew up in Hammond also. Also bought many,many parts from Smith Chevrolet.(my brother got his 68' Camaro from them)

I thought it was very nice in the flesh, though I'm a big E blue fan. That black big brake fuelie next to it was also very nice, and you can just see a hint of a really cool '67 427 4sp Impala behind it
