Exhaust Poll
Hey Everyone,
I have a question for you all. I just purchased my first Vette! Woohoo!
However, it has a Flowmaster exhaust, which I really like the throaty sound, but I really don't like the two exhaust tips instead of the OEM look of four.
My question is.....should I replace the Flowmaster tips with some OEM tips??

I kinda like the two. It would not bother me as long as I liked the sound. Can't see them when your driving.

Looks a little empty to me. Four just fill the space better, unless you get some of the elongated tips like from SLP.

4 for me.

I think 4 is the best look as it fills up the space far better than 2 with a faux filler. I also dislike the sound of a Flowmaster on a Corvette! Just too Camaro or Mustang sounding, i.e hotrod. Sounds cheap!

The appearance of the exhaust (tips) ranks far below the functional aspects of the exhaust but it's important none-the-less. For form and function I'm partial to the Corsa Sport Exhaust with the slightly elongated, flared (almost 4" tall) quad-tips. Here's an old photo of my car showing the Corsa exhaust quad-tips.
I wouldn't change the exhaust based on a popularity contest but if you prefer the look of quad-tips and cost isn't a concern change the tips (or the entire exhaust) to get the look and sound you like. If there's something about the car you want to improve....do it!
