I made my first C6 dual gauge pod!
Hi everyone, just thought i'd post some pics of my weekend project.
I decided to make my own fiberglass dual gauge pod for my 08 vette because it saved me tons of money and is exactly what i needed. Ive seen a few cheapo plastic rivet-on types and carbon fiber ones but they are either extremely expensive or lack quality. I painted it to match my vette's exterior black color. My next project may be painting the passenger pillar to match. Please feel free to chime in and let me know what you think...Thanks.

Hmm...maybe this summer ill knock some more out for others. Im also looking at molding gauges into the panel above the rearview mirror. I like a somewhat factory appearance. If i make more pods ill keep you guys in the loop and offer any color.

Im actually slowly prototyping several original ideas on my vette this year. The gauge pod was just an in between project. Other things im making include a re-designed heads up display with thermal imaging, integrated water methanol systems and other various unique fiberglass molded items i find useful.

Would you guys think $350 painted is reasonable to ask for? Im not greedy but this type of work has hands-on blood, sweat, and tears involved. I would'nt be looking to impose that awesome corvette "tax" on others.

I paid $250 to have some tweeters put in my A pillars.
After all, that is some work you have to do.
