what do you use to play mp3's in your C6?
I have a 2009 Coupe with Navigation so there is no auxiliary input to plug my MP3 player into. I've been getting by by burning MP3s onto CDs and then using the CD player; needless to say, it's getting kind of old. Is there an easy solution that allows playing MP3 files straight from MP3 player through factory stereo/navigation system that does not require cutting or splitting wires? The how-to search results I found looked a bit challenging for me. Any help is appreciated.

I have a harness that plugs into the XM receiver with a standard mini headphone jack on it. Stream Pandora or listen to mp3 stored on phone. Search "Kawal".

iPhone and the $9 headphone jack tie in to the xm box. Replaced the Bose speakers with some Boston SE's, disconnected the center channel dash speaker and I'm pretty pleased. I also use a pro clip (or something like that) to hold the phone. It has a place to plug in a charging cable. 5 stars for that little device. Good luck.

I have the PAL 1 (dealer installed option from previous owner). I'm getting it fixed (it distorts like a loose cable or wiring issue). I couldn't troubleshoot it myself but either way that would fix your problem.
Talk to kawal and buy a PAL 1 and upgrade it to a PAL 2.

I have a 2006 and no aux jack. My wife's 2007 Cobalt has one on the radio face. I didn't realize later model C6s don't have the aux jack either. Bummer!

I have an '09 1LT w/the non-Bose head unit & it has an aux jack. It works fine but doesn't charge my iPod Nano. At some point I plan on getting an iPod cable that also charges it.

2011...I know because I have a 2010 w/o input
You can buy an adapter (what I did) that'll charge off that cable OR just replace the cable entirely.

Given that I have an '09 with one, I'd have to say '09 & up. Unless I'm driving a '11 and don't know it.

That's a fact. You have a no navigation unit then.
EDIT: I was too lazy to dig up the information now but here ya go (and if you google around you'll see too). Read the last bullet point.

My car has an Alpine INA-W900 stereo. Iphone4 adapter plugged in, so I just plug in my phone. My problem is I don't have many mp3's and I absolutely refuse to pay for them, so I mostly listen to CD's or rely on friends to give me music.
