After:

Here's a full car shot...wish it was a bit better photo but it looks better with color to me.

Looking good.....it's even better because you did it vs someone else

Good job! What paint did you use? What did you use to remove the paint from the letters? When I did mine I used a wire wheel on a drimmel tool.

I used Dupi-Color paint and a razor blade to remove the paint from the letters after a day of curing time. Came out better than I expected. I also left the calipers on the car and used several different size brushes so that i could get into the smaller areas. One caliper at a time...finished within one hour for each caliper.

Looks great! I sprayed mine with high temp engine paint, but next time I think I will do the same with the caliper paint.

Thanks for sharing!

I did my C5 with rustoleum professional paint....lasted 13 years til I traded it.....cheap way to get a great result. Heck I even painted the back of the brake pads blue.

Mrc100,

Looks great!! How many coats of paint did you apply to each caliper, and how long between coats.

Thanks,

Bob

Nice finish, looks very professional. I used rattle can brake paint I got from Pep Boys. I only painted the calapers, when I change the rotors I will paint the brackets.

Bob, I basically took my time painting from the top of each brake to the bottom and then when back to the top and started a second coat. So I have about 4 coats on each rotor. The instructions state to either finish the painting in one hour or wait 5 days. I'm not kidding so I just kept working a single rotor until i had uniform coverage which took about an hour. The humidity was pretty low for rochester and i think that helped.

Looks great!

Proves that you don't have to send it to a powdercoater or pay core charge.
