Is there a glove compartment?
Did we lose the glove compartment in this redesign? I can't see it in the interior shots. Either it got designed out or it is stuck way down forward on top of the passenger's legs and impossible to get to from the driver's seat. I actually like storing stuff in mine. Pity if it's gone.

Safety Car
Yes!
That question was specifically raised at the Bash, and the answer is yes.

You won't be able to reach a glove box from the seat of the Stingray the way the cockpit is designed. You will want to use the storage compartment behind the center screen. Press of a button and the screen drops down and exposes a decent sized compartment that is lockable (electronically)

So if a person unlocks the car, the glove box becomes unlocked?
On the C6, you can lock the glove box with the key and give a person only the fob, they can drive it (valet) but not get into the glove box. Heck, the way C6 glove box latches break sometimes even the owner can't get into the box.
Glove box on our 2009 is approx 11" wide, 4" wide, 4" deep, so total volume seems similar between the two cars.
Plus the console.

I'd never miss it as I never use the glove box in my '05 vert anyway. Its either the console or the storage area behind the seats. If I need to lock something up, it goes in the trunk.

If that TFT screen is the glovebox, I hope there's a manual override in case of a dead battery. That's were we keep the registration and papers, which law officials require in the case of an accident.

Stock, the trunk is of course fully accessable to anyone who gets inside the car, legally or otherwise. Do you have a partition that is strong enough to resist serious brute force?

At least if it is in the trunk, they gotta know how to get into it and spend the time to get in. Ultimately, nothing is theft-proof if someone wants it bad enough.
