Toque and I are no longer twins...
I decided to do a major exterior refresh over the winter and finally got everything installed over the weekend. There's no mistaken identity with Toque anymore
Here's what I accomplished:
- ACI front lip
- ACI side skirts
- Smoked all lights
- Painted brake screens black
Got the body pieces painted and installed this weekend. Overall I love the new look - although the fitment isn't perfect and seamless, it does look much more aggressive. Definitely gets much more attention too.
I still have to paint the lower rear fascia black to complete the refresh. I'm probably just going to plasti-dip it for now as vinyl quotes were outrageous.
Now I just have to powdercoat the T1 swaybars and throw those on, install the FAST 92/90, tune and I should be pretty well set for the year!
What do you guys think? Crappy cell pics but you get the idea:

How difficult was it to paint the brake duct screens? Did you remove the entire assembly?

For those that do have the Vararam, it's CRUCIAL to line up the top clips with the notches when re-installing. Ask me how I know...

Looks very cool. I also have the same front splitter and love it. How do you like the sides? I have been debating those but like the look. Can you still get a jack under them to the jack points?

Yeah, the jacking points are still open and available to use. I jacked the car up on the side points to install the skirts and no harm done when everything was done. Jack slid right out underneath so nothing lost as far as access. The pieces are notched to accommodate which is really slick.

What I find so amazing is that we start out with one car , a C5.. and come up with so many unique and still classic, and yet tasteful and diversified Wow machines from so many of our talented members. And while these cars are all one of a kind, they all start out with the same base platform. It says a lot about the C5 design.
