2013 Mustang Shelby Cobra vs My Z06 ROUND 2

WELL, it was a tie this time around. Since last time, I took out 100lbs and my buddies cobra is up another (ruff) 100RWHP.
My Z06 weighs 1000lbs (ruff estimate) less and he has 200 more RWHP.
If my buddy didn't have a passenger, he would edge me for sure.
My Z06 is a built track car: 506RWHP
2013 Cobra: 680-720RWHP (depends on fuel)
NOTE: CLOSED ROAD! PRIVATE ROAD!

Some think it only takes 80-120 RWHP for the GT500 to overcome a serious weight penalty. Looks like you matched a 175-220 RWHP deficit
I ran a new 2013 Boss 302 and 2013 GT500 coming back from a local car show last Saturday night.....it wasn't pretty for either car.

It was funny when people thought GT500s would run with ZR1s, to only find out they are a drivers race with the C6 with 133hp less than what they said it'd run with lol

Good grief... up by 200hp and he still couldn't get ahead.
Isn't this straight line stuff what these cars are supposed to be good at? Are these GT500s defective? That car works in mysterious ways...

Good Race! I've been hunting around trying to find one of these bad boys to race. Just curious why you don't have a cam in your car? Being that you obviously like modding your car for racing. I'm glad to know a bolt on Z can hang with these. I'm guessing I'd pull a car or 2 with MY H/C/I Z...
I could only imagine a 700+ RWHP ZR1 putting a whoopin on one of these GT500's... I was a bit worried that these cars would be insane fast from the factory but weight really does make a big difference and knowing you hung with him with 200 RWHP less makes it that much better. :-)
Also if you guys kept going I believe you would edge him out everytime. The drag on that car will really show after 150MPH. I think even with that passenger out of the car you would still win if going to 170MPH+.
I eventually plan on doing a 100 Shot and dont think I'm going to have too many issues beating the majority of these GT5's...

The 13+ GT500s need roughly 130-160whp more than a Z to beat/run door to door with. Op had a little weight reduction and a passenger in the GT500 so that helps make up the ~200hp difference
