is 800-850Hp attainable on a 10k budget for a stock LS3 motor?

I would not go 800+ rwhp with a stock motor. 700-750rwhp would be completely do-able though. With a good tuner you should be fine. Talk to ECS or A&A. I would get ECS if buying new or if you get a deal on a used kit, get either. You will need a clutch and fuel system also for that power level. If you can do your own install it will be close. Paying somebody to install it, budget for $15k if buying all new stuff. I got a deal on a used T-trim A&A with 103# injectors and external add on fuel system for $4500. Add in the install, new tires, and tuning and I was at $8500 total. I'm only at 578rwhp and need to do a clutch before I can pulley down. That will be another $2500 in parts and labor.

No way in heck is that possible with an A6. You would need to completely build that trans and I think ECS only builds them in house. Half your budget would be gone with the A6 build. Settle for 600-650rwhp and I say it's possible with $10k. You will still be playing Russian Roulette with your trans though. Make sure you do a real good trans cooler.

For that you can do a blower kit, headers, and meth. You could probably see 650rwhp or so with that, but going above that can be risky without building your trans or adding a fuel system which is taking you above 10k for sure...

I completely forgot about headers. If you can get E85, you don't need meth. Don't forget to add a wideband. I used the AEM failsafe wideband, which also shows boost.

I have 578rwp and 511tq at 7psi with a stock cam LS3 and it's deceptively fast. Very smooth and before you know it you are at 120mph on the freeway on-ramp.

An ECS blower will make more torque than me due to their restrictor plate use on the inlet. They use a smaller pulley, but the restrictor limits peak boost. Gives you a fat torque curve compared to a centri car with a larger pulley and no restrictor to get the same peak boost.

Base ECS kit installed $ 7800
ECS meth kit installed $ 1000
Headers plus install $ 2300
Used Z06 mufflers $ 500
Fuel system installed $ 1250 (You can do boost a pump but I wouldn't and didn't).

I am willing to guess 675 whp (easy) thru auto.

I have the above on an LS2, made 720/643 through manual transmission and 4.10s. 720 whp is plenty fast. With traction, you are in liter bike territory.

I'll have to get a fuel system the closest E85 station is 30plus mins away

These price are on the low side to include quality install and don't forget a tune. The little things will nickle and dime you to death. You should consider a radiator, injectors, intake, TB, and I recall a meth kit costs more than $1K installed.... etc. You should budget $15K+ to do it right. It cost me more than that to get 678RWHP through a manual. That was on top of the cam, gears, headers (483RWHP) done years ago when it was NA. You got to pay to play!

No if I go SC I will send it to ECS and if I go TT I will probably go to UPPCOS or try and find a APS kit if one is still around

Make a budget; then double it!!!

I hear you on the "why not" I have both a 600rwhp and a 1000+rwhp car. "both twin turbo cars" the big boy is parked most of the time. Just not that fun to drive on the street. Have you driven a car with this much HP. unless you can budget for that A6 build stick with 580-630rwhp, you will be glad you did. + you can always turn it up later as you build supporting mods. Good luck Brother!

oh, dont buy Z06 mufflers.

I have a Z06 axleback. I bought the Pfadt headers for a Z06 and didn't want to use my 2.5" stock axleback. I'm running the flappers open all the time. Small amount of resonance from 1400-1700rpm. I just shift around it for now. I've got a friend I will get the vacuum canister from when I get tired of the resonance.

I have a friend that has a 1000/1000 twin turbo C6. He runs around in low boost and its still ridiculous. Around 750/750 on low.
