So sorry to hear that, your 427 is one of my favorites. Gosh that would make me sick. I didn't think deer were a big problem in Fla. Here in the northeast they are everywhere. 2 years ago coming home I stopped to help a lady who hit 2 at the same time with a brand new Grand Cherokee. A doe and her fawn. Completely totaled the Jeep. Good luck..

One of the biggest worries with deer is they like to run together. oftentimes you will see one dart across the road, think you are good, then get close and three more run out. You need otbe carefull around them critters. We got a lot of them around here in pa, ot the point of several of them like to bed down in my yard at night. When I come home in the dark and they see my light, they look up at me as if to say, turn the lights off jackass, then put their heads back down.

That is bad news Tally Ho. As they rightfully say, any accident you walk away from, is a 'good accident,' so far as accidents go.

I'd say "a bad start to your day" was an understatement. I'm sorry about the damage to your car (and about the dead deer) but most importantly, I'm glad you're OK. Hitting a deer can cause an unreal amount of damage to person and property. With the height of the C6 you were fortunate not to have been injured. I'm sure the car can be restored to 'good as new' condition. Good luck on the repairs!

glad you are not hurt. that is why the call it accidents. I buddy of mine had a teenage girl rear end his car with 500 miles on it, when he called me I told him "i hope you are kiding" he wasn't. at least you can blame an animal not a teenager texting & driving. I would have loved to hear her explain it to her parents or her agent.
good luck

Thats a bummer for you and your Vette!
I'll tell you what... I'm not a big fan of Bambi.... once I realized how they love to jump in front of cars at 5am... They have jumped on front of me a number of times up in the mountains... We need more cougars to keep the population down.... err mayby not...

F*CK the deer!!!
Those stupid animals continue to jump out in front of speeding cars...they get what they deserve (unlike the cars they damage).
You'd think natural selection would have bred that instinct out of them by now.
Let's not even mention how they eat everything in my yard, too.
Hunters, have at 'em!
I can understand how sick the OP feels.
Beautiful brand new 427.
Good thing is no (human) was hurt. The car can be fixed, but it still just SUCKS!
Hopefully, the OP can find a good shop, it'll all get fixed up, and he can get back to enjoying that beautiful car.
