That is pretty bad...but the car is far off from production. Still wouldn't be surprised if this was in the actual car though hey it's apart of the appeal right? XD
I guess some of you folks have had fit/finish issues with your C6s. I have two and there are no fit/finish issues with either of mine except for a minor issue with the stripe on the 427.
I believe that the "fitment" issue in the photo is a matter of angular perspective rather than a bad gap issue. A perpendicular view would tell the tale.....

Actually this goes back to the very beginning of Corvette production with ill-fitting gaps, etc. I think what we are seeing is just pre-production issues that will be corrected before production starts.
Like yours, the fit and finish of my '05 is just fine.
That's from the unveiling...meaning far from production.
That makes it worse. These are THE cars unveiled to the world, and it is ok at GM to show that level of fit. These cars should have been hand fitted and non-production means used if necessary to put the best face forward.

I have seen the Centennial Z06 press car, at the time when car magazines were reviewing it, it was just as bad if not worse, no way anything would change.
I'm not too concerned with "fit and finish" but it does seem like GM would want their two "show" cars to be the best two cars they make to show off to the world, not the other way around. Test mules a different story but the two cars that have been at the auto shows are not mules they are show cars
