Default Same Old Fit, Finish and Build Quality?

This is now the second or third time I have seen this on the show cars as well as the mules.

That picture looks like one of the originals from the unveiling. Show us the same angles from these car show pictures and mules please.

The value of Corvette does not lie in fit, finish or build quality. Do not expect miracles.

That is pretty bad...but the car is far off from production. Still wouldn't be surprised if this was in the actual car though hey it's apart of the appeal right? XD

It is a mule...a MULE... Go to Mid America and see older model Mules close up.

As for me the Corvettes I have owned since the C5 came out have been very good builds. Just my experience..

Face it, sh*tty fit and finish are part of the Corvette 'heritage' as are less-than-perfect paint jobs.

It just wouldn't be a Corvette with great build quality!

I guess some of you folks have had fit/finish issues with your C6s. I have two and there are no fit/finish issues with either of mine except for a minor issue with the stripe on the 427.

I believe that the "fitment" issue in the photo is a matter of angular perspective rather than a bad gap issue. A perpendicular view would tell the tale.....

Good news does not sell newspapers..compliments do not stir rebuttal.

The nay Sayers stir the pot and enjoy the push back. I just figure they have no life and get a chuckle. All this is my opinion only.

Actually this goes back to the very beginning of Corvette production with ill-fitting gaps, etc. I think what we are seeing is just pre-production issues that will be corrected before production starts.

Like yours, the fit and finish of my '05 is just fine.

That's the second or third time you've seen the same photo. Production is still months away. Get a grip.

Both my C5 and my C6 had very good fit and finish.

At least when someone is putting one back to original they don't have to get every panel to fit perfectly.

That makes it worse. These are THE cars unveiled to the world, and it is ok at GM to show that level of fit. These cars should have been hand fitted and non-production means used if necessary to put the best face forward.

I stopped complaining about panel gaps on the Corvette after I owned a Gwagen. You can read the door panel stickers from the outside on those...

I have seen the Centennial Z06 press car, at the time when car magazines were reviewing it, it was just as bad if not worse, no way anything would change.

I'm not too concerned with "fit and finish" but it does seem like GM would want their two "show" cars to be the best two cars they make to show off to the world, not the other way around. Test mules a different story but the two cars that have been at the auto shows are not mules they are show cars
