Default Look what I drove to work for the first time

Finally got to drive my Vette to work It did get a little warm on the trip home so I still have to try and figure out what to do there, I may have to go back to the stock configuration and dump the e-fans

make sure you're front spoiler is in place, i had to add a 2" extension to mine to help cooling at highway speeds when the efans are doing nothing anyway.

I love the color . . . looks GREAT. I remember the first time I drove mine to work. I loaded it down with all kinds of tools because I wasn't sure it would make it there and back.

Thanks guys I did ensure I had everything to change a tire but the motor is running well and the diff is new (rebuilt), so I'm not too worried about those things but the heating up issue has me bugged

Nah, I work for the Army and am a Vet, injured my back on a jump, I work with a lot of disabled Vets too. I do get hard looks when I pull up to target (or where ever), and pull into a disabled stahl but screw em

My paint job is a 30' paint job - looks good from 30' away but has dirt and fish eye in it, also the front and rear bumpers have spots that are lifting too.

Make sure the foam is around the radiator to force the air through it.

Did that but thank you... It did help out some. While just cruising around it cools just fine but at highway speeds, 65 - 70, it starts climbing and it's not even spring let alone summer yet

......sweet!!! Car looks great, and did I mention I was jealous of your nice weather, and being able to drive your Vette.....just sayin'.....

Runs cool cruising; gets hot moving along fast......seems opposite of what it should be.....hmmmmmm.

Which direction do your e-fans blow?

Apologies if your cooling problem has been discussed in a thread, and I haven't seen it. Still a newbie ya know.....

LOL yeah and I bitch about the cold weather but my retirement will be spent in Kona on the Big island

Here's a picture of my fan setup, they draw the air through the radiator (I was going to say something about a good woman but thought I'd clean it up )...

Kona.....nice..... Good Women with Vacuum.....

Set up looks really nice, only thing that stands out is the tin around the e-fans might be limiting the flow to those two areas rather than the whole radiator. I may be seeing it wrong too.....

I did have to do some trimming on both sides of the shroud to get it to fit between the tanks (my fault I measured only once ), but there is enough distance (I think), between the shroud and radiator to allow it to pull air from the whole radiator. I figured it had to be better than just the fans only pulling where they were attached. having said that I had though about cutting holes, or slits, in the shroud to allow air to flow through at high speed, just don't know how that will effect it at the lower speeds.

I lived in Kona for 5 years before I met my wife whom lived on Oahu, so I moved to Oahu and lived there for another 8 years... I MISS Kona something fierce!
