WTB: clean black z06, will consider several years
would pay high $30's for a low miles 06-08
would pay mid $40's for a low miles 09-up
I understand you can get a base 1lz new 2013 under $60 now with all the discounts
I am in texas.
no mods desired, but i might consider a car with headers or better brakes.

Corvette pricing is based on three things...year, mileage and options. You are not likely to find all of those features in your price range. You should consider increasing your desired price.

Ramey - I have been looking for a little while - you are right on with your proposed pricing. You will find what you are looking for and at that price. I would recommend to stick to the 2008 or newer with the new transmission. Good luck - I'm still looking myself, so there is a little competition out there!

I am also looking for a Z06. Where can I buy a new black 2013 1LZ for under $60K ? If someone can direct me to the dealer (send me a PM), I'll pay you a finder's fee of $500 when confirmed.
Later this year after C7 hits the showrooms and you see them on the streets, I'll probably be putting up a WTB add for a 2012 black 1LZ for 55-60K, depending on the market at that time.

What Elaine, are you trying to suggest that the "true price" - which exists only in my head - is somehow less important than the price that someone in the world is willing to accept for their Z06?
What if I am also paying imaginary dollars for my imaginary price, does that mean that I would somehow get less enjoyment from my correctly-priced but imaginary Z06 than a real world Z06 that other people can see and drive? Tell it to Wonder Woman.

Let's just say that finding an exceptionally low mileage Z06...the years and the money that the original poster is looking for...is not going to be that easy. As I said previously, mileage plays a huge factor in the selling price, along with options and year. I did not say that it would be impossible to find, just difficult.
And let me assure you that I know Corvette pricing. End of story.

answered my own question with a nice 08 for $39k this weekend;
my mistake on under $60 for a new one, but I did have a real offer at $63k, so that's a pretty good deal too.

I'm interested too, because I'm thinking the mileage probably isn't low but congrats on finding one in your price range. Post some pictures when you get it.

Are any of the members on here fighting for C6 Z prices to stay high, owners of c6 Zs? History repeats itself.
Carmax and dealers you trade in to will give you LOW 30s if not high 20s for an early (06-07)Z. Give or take a few hundred for year, miles and options. And if it modified, you can forget the money you spent on it... Sentimental value will net you imaginary dollars and buyers...lol

i went to buy a black 07 71k miles at $33k.... and look at a black 07 10k miles at $45k.
the black car was pretty rough at $33k.
i saw a red 3lz 08 at 60k miles and bought it at $39k; it was actually cleaner and just as tight as the 10k 07 for $6k less.
i am happy.
this car looks frankly brand new. heads never off. no dukes of hazzard treatment underneath, i had it on a lift. very happy.
keep in mind this was at a dealer so you could beat these prices with cash and a private seller.
i really didn't want 3lz, but there you have it.

congrats Ramey!
I've been planning on buying a newer year Z like a 2012, but there is a '08 Z06 in alaska with extended bumper to bumper in the For Sale section that is looking mighty attractive. I keep telling myself "patience, you need the F55 shocks, gotta have the F55."
Can't wait till I join the ranks of Z06 owners.
