Back up camera in 2013 Grand Sport
I am looking to see if there is a back-up camera kit for a 2013 Grand Sport with factory navigation? Thanks in advance with any help available.

Sorry to be the first to tell you the bad news but you will not be able to add a rear camera to the stock NAV system.
You will need to change out to an aftermarket radio to do this.
If changing to aftermarket radio is an option we will be glad to help assist you with all the info and items to do this

It will be a federal law that cars will have to come equipped with rear cams so you can just wait for your next car purchase or get a new Corvette when this becomes law or use a Garmin or Magellan GP S selected unit.

The Lockpick 360-2 is no longer available and was a 350.00 waste of money. If we sent out 10 of them 9 would come back with issues.
I in the end would refuse to sell one of these to a customer. Major pain to install and they just did not work. This is why Coastaltech does not offer them anymore.

How about the new mirror from GM that has it in the mirror.

The GM mirror with the monitor built in is nearly $600 (just for the mirror). For that much money, you can get a brand new stereo system from Double D with the rearview camera fully integrated and do a whole lot more.
Not 100% certain the GM mirror with monitor will integrate seamlessly into the Corvette.

Thanks for recommendation
especially when you take into consideration the selling of your stock nav unit to offset the price
example
Kenwood DNX690 package 900.00
add ipod and camera for 70.00
that's 970.00
Sell your stock unit for say 500.00
that's 400.00 out of pocket.
The Lockpick was 350.00
camera was 70.00
that's 420.00 out of pocket
20.00 more than the Kenwood would be and you get more features and much better NAV

Hello,
Thank you so much for your inquiry. Unfortunately at this time your 2013 Corvette is not on the approved list of vehicles that work with the LockPick product. However, we are always adding new makes and models to the lineup. I would recommend checking back with us within a couple of months to ensure compatibility with your particular vehicle. Thanks again and I look forward to speaking with you soon.

Someone here mounted the screen for a backup camera on or near his sun visor, looked like it worked well.

lockpick is very unreliable I had in in few of my corvettes and couldn't be more disappointed, its a money pit they dont' last more than few month, and always had to go back and pay my installers to replce for a new one.
Aftermarket navigation didn't seem like an option as for some weired reason I liked the original navigation system, So for my 2013 corvette camera solution, I had sent my navigation radio out to navtool and I couldn't be more happy, not only the radio was done in one day I have reiceved the radio back form navtool already modified with a video interface for camera and that inteface is made in USA, finally not CHINA
