Maybe aftermarket. Apparently they can make mods for cars that haven't been released yet (tail lights) so I would think a wheel flare or wider body is not too far fetched.

Not really... Yes, it's wider than the 'base' C6 (if they even still sell those), but it's 2" more narrow than the Grand Sport & C6Zs (73.9" vs. 75.9"). In my book, the GS essentially became the base C6 in 2010, based upon popularity alone (that's what you'll find overwhelmingly on the road) - so I view the C7 as being more narrow than the C6...
IMO, there won't be a wide-body version of the C7, but that's a guess, like every other on this forum

Melting Slicks
Who knows what Chevrolet will do. It appears to be a deep dark secret. I am saying that there will not be the wider body GS cause when they came out with the GS on the C6's, they eliminated the Z51. Now the Z51 is back so this makes me think no wider body GS to start, at least for a while. Just my 2 cents worth. Again, this is just speculation on my part as no one here on the Forum really knows ...

We've seen that GM pretty much does whatever it wants, who cares what people want, or people buy.
If there is no wide version that looks extra mean (ala Z06) why would I want to trade down from my C6Z?
I can understand GM wanting all the sales up front with it's release, but being sneaky/shady about a C7Z06 means I'm less likely to buy one once they hit. Don't want to tell me if there will be a better model for more cash 2 or 3 years down the road? Meh, I'll enjoy my current car that's more than powerful enough.
Seeing the Z06 panels, fascia, and engine get whored out into lesser models rubbed me the wrong way, sprinkle on top the way they want to sweep the valve issue under the rug means I'll be looking very hard at everyone else but GM in a few years time.
