GM response on tail-lights
Some guy left a comment on the Corvette FB page
"What made chevy decide not to go with the traditional round tailights on the c7?"
There had been many other comments showing anger at the non-round tail-lights, cormaro, etc. which "Corvette" never responded to. This time (whoever runs the official FB page) answered, probably because it wasn't written in an immature negative manner, anyway here is his answer:
"We wanted to make sure we included a new, innovative LED system that creates an even glow using reverse reflectors and three-dimensional sculpted lens housing. This new design also incorporates the shape of the rear and the integration of the functional aircraft-style outlets in the rear."

Well maybe now they can ask about the radio **** and screen. It finally dawned on me
what it looks like. An ETCH A SKETCH. That part does not look upscale.

Interesting, but as someone who actually likes the new tail lights, that was the longest non-answer I've heard in a long time. Why can't someone from GM just say, "we thought it looked cool"

Actually their answer is WAY more refreshing than that and they know that everyone already knows that they (GM) think they look cool or they wouldn't be on the car.

I think everybody gets it...you don't like the C7. The simple solution is for you to not buy one and stop whining in every thread about it.

The back end looks good till you get to the lower section.
By the time they've worked the kinks out, we might get an ''aero tune'' that restyles that lower section.
Certainly the aftermarket will have a fix.
Which might just be about the time I get one new
The afterburner tail lights have really grown on me. The lower bumper still has not. Doubt it ever will, I'll probably be feeling this way with this particular bumper the way I felt about the C5 and 92-96 C4's back ends. Complete wasted opportunity.
