Do you carry a jack in your corvette?
I would like to carry a jack in my C5 just in case of a flat tire. That said, any good sources for a low profile jack that will fit in our cars?
Thanks.

Nope I don't carry one. Some guys used to talk about a Mercedes jack that would work.

I carry a standard scissor jack that you can get from Autozone and a set of RV leveling blocks the you can get from Walmart. Ride on the blocks to get the car high enough to get the jack underneath.

I don't want to have a lot of crap in the car, I'd sooner just call a tow truck.

Nope I don't carry one - I have Triple AAA
Plus there is no room for a spare either, you could get the C5 Z06 flat repair kit!
Thanks,Matt

A low profile jack fits under hockey pucks no problem. I bought one from Sears, been using it a lot in the garage for projects.
I have run flats. Don't not see the use for a jack if you don't have a spare, unless you have a compressor and plug kit maybe?

I carry an air compressor and plug kit, but no jack. I have emergency road service on my insurance policy and always carry a cell phone.
But, I do need to look for a small scissors jack that might work with the car.

No run flats, jack or spare here;
yep. thats the standard action plan
Just the fix a flat for me....and this would be for extreme case in lost darkness with roadside help many hours out and no cell signal. I typically try and stay away from these situations in the vettes!
nope. It's called a $50/yr roadside assistance insurance rider with up to 100 miles of flatbead. Well, may be 50, I'd have to pull the policy ;-)
Portable air compressor and a bottle of fix a flat in my cargo area... doesn't take up hardly any room at all.

to each their own, but if you ever see the inside of a rim/tire that's had that put into it, you'll never do it again. 50/yr is awfully cheap insurance against having to replace a rim.
