Default Black Wheels?

Looking for black wheels for a base coupe 2008 C6.

Wanted to get everyones ideas in forum world....

Here is what I am looking for...

Criteria:

1. Must be lighter or same weight then stock:
Stock wheels from what I think is correct are approximately:
18's in the front 21 LB
19's in the rear 24 LB

2. Would prefer flat black but as long as black will be happy.

3. Cost under 2,000 not so expensive I have buyers remorse afterwards...and not so cheap that they are made in China.

4. Must be 18s in front and 19s in back and fit my tires:
245/40zr18 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus
285/35zr19 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus

18x9.5 and 19x10 are my present wheels and they fit the tires above perfectly.

Any opinions w/pics would be great....

I was heart set on some Forgestar F14s...but they do not make them in C6 sizes above....

Got these at West Coast Corvettes. Under $2K if memory serves me correctly. Stripe can be customized. I already had the Michelin PS2s on my car - no issues. Apex Gloss Black.

I have black stock c6 rims sitting in my garage, all 4 corners. The same were painted professionally and clear coated. I have never mounted them. PM me or email me at billyd0824@gmail.com if interested seriously.

Try plasti-dip. Less than $30 and you can remove it if you don't like it.

Steve Ray painted the car for me and I had the wheels shipped up there. He painted the center caps when he painted the car.

Many police cars and other government oened vehicles come with all-black wheels except with small chromed hub caps which can be popped off easily. Also many cars have all-black compact spare tires. These can be easily viewed at your local unemployment and public assistance offices. Good luck!

update...

my rims under a cover are indeed all black. I never mounted them as I have stock c6 comp gray rims that I just love and they are just so classy on a black c6. I purchased the black rims along with some tires and so sits said rims in my garage. I considered the "murk'd out look" but thought again.

I could likewise name the only three groups of people who like black wheels, but don't care to stoop down to your level of childish behavior.

You gotta love a loser.... liketojackoff comes on to this thread insults black wheels and those who like them without any provocation from me nor the topic....then he calls me childish for responding to his negative post.

You sir are the definition of childish behavior.... go take your meds

To the OP,

My wheels fell exactly into your prerequisites minus the sizes.

I know one of the groups is GM since they debuted the C7 with BLACK wheels and really curious about the other two

One a side note I love my police cruiser. Makes my job that much more fun.

You forgot the following categories of those who don't like black wheels:

"Those who want their wheels to show up in pictures and not look like there's a void in the wheel-well."

and...

"Those who appreciate the thought and planning GM put into designing the look of chrome/comp gray wheels on most Corvettes."

I know plenty of young guys that prefer chrome/comp gray wheels over black wheels. And while you're at it, just keep breathing and you too will be "old-school grandpa" one of these days.

Ok everyone I really thought us Vette guys were above this. if you cannot contribute to this thread then get out....isnt there a rule about going off topic and hijacking other forum member threads....??

Does this thread state black versus chrome/polished etc ??? NO...it states: Looking for black wheels for a base coupe 2008 C6.

This is not the chrome versus black wheels debate thread .... Some idiot decided to hop on my thread with no provocation and give his condesending opinion of black wheels like a 2 year old. So what do I do? I defend black wheels. What happens? other children have joined in..... like the quote above.

I understand that they are not for everyone - thats fine....if you like mirrors for wheels great more power to you. But please no one cares about your opinion. So if your trolling around like a 18 year old with too much testosterone then go sign up for the import forums....but please no more chrome versus black wheels comments.

that ....or go take your medication ....
