I like the car. Aggressive. Just found out the wife is preg. So doubt I will be selling my LPE (TT) anytime soon and it's paid for in Nov 13.

I agree, it gives a great chance to start to take in the shape, especially some of the subtleties.

I like it!

The comparison they draw (in the autoweek walk-around) between the "Stingray Concept" and the C7 is pretty interesting.

That explains a LOT about why they made certain choises about the car. You can tell the tailights were inspired by the Concept Car (NOT the Camaro FFS). Also the aggressive forward sweep on the "cove" among other things.

Funny, the same guys bitching about the tailights were the ones who wanted the C7 to look like the Stingray Concept. While the rear-end of the Stingray concept is MUCH more dramatic/aggessive than the C7, you can tell they took a TON of cues from it. (The way the vents around the tailights have that downard point on the outside. The way there is angular depressions on the rear below the lights. Etc.)

Thanks for the videos!

I love it. All the vents, grilles, coves, etc are functional. Aluminum body frame. Carbon Fiber hood and roof. Hollow aluminum suspension pieces. Real carbon fiber inserts and aluminum in the interior. Magnesium seats frames. All on the base car. The front looks awesome (the one area I was afraid of looking bad) and the rear looks better on the real deal. It will make the C6 look dated, the C5 old, the C4 archaic, ...etc. I want one!

That autoweek review was great. I think that was the base model with maybe the upgraded interior.

Thanks for putting this in one thread. Tadges video really makes me want this car more. Sounds looks and explains the car to the point I'm drooling for the red z51 c7 with MRC and the 7 speed.. I hope those competition seats are offered individually and not as part of some navigation ladened package.......

. The GM authority start up video really sounded like the car was farting at start up..I think it was the high ceiling but the echo was funny. Alex looked like he was holding his nose at starup...great idea for the exhaust note but it sounded terrible on video .. I think it was the space and not the exhaust that made the vehicle sound like it was farting.

Nice effort on gmauthoritys part and they get an A for effort.

Car and driver and auto week reviews were excellent. The red vette with tadge is the one I want and then seeing the silver car with auto week makes me dig the silver car....that's how stunning this car is...each color dramatically shifts the cars persona. Wow!

Any of you older guys remember the 60 s and 70s when we waited months after the show for just the chance of magazine coverage of a new car...then a few months for the release of the first drive...and then finally the road test report?

I'm only 53 and yet I am amazed at how much the world has changed and how much better off we all are as enthusiasts...

Not to mention the abilities this new z51 corvette will have..

This car really offers every man the chance to own a high performance exotic. I love my c6 but hot dam if the new c7 doesn't take this to yet another new level..

Did I mention I love this new car!
