Why on EARTH would they remove this handy capability in the C6? It has been invaluable on my C5s...I'm looking for a C6 now and am stupefied to find out you can't do it anymore. You'd think I'd already know this, but I always just assumed the same behavior was available on the C6 just like the C5.

Maybe there are too many more codes on the C6 than there were on the C5.

Simple answer. It was cutting down on taking it in for service. When you can self diagnosis come on here for an answer who needs a dealer?
The next trend I hear is dealer monopolizing parts........ it's already started on Cadillac.

When you swap to your track wheels, you can't use a magnet to trigger the sensors when programming them into your TPMS in the car - the C6 sensors need to be triggered with the signal transmitted by a TPMS tool.
And if you don't run with sensors in your track wheels you may experience some problematic issues with AH.
Keep researching and you'll find lots of other little things are quite different between the two cars.
