Default Retro look for new C7 would be nice

The Mustang took on the 1967/68 look, the Camaro took on the late 60s look, the Dodge Challenger took on the 1970 or so look. All the new pony type cars are retro in design. I would just love it if the Corvette did the same thing and had the C7 look like a midyear Corvette (63-67) with today's technology. I know this cannot happen as the Corvette design is evolutionary, not radical but I would flip if the C7 looked like the 67 Vette.

Just for fun----what would you rather have in a C7, the usual evolutionary changes or a 1963-1967 body type?

Retro design was a fad. The new Mustang and Camaro will be quite different in their next reiterations for that reason.

I'm very much looking forward to a new/modern version of the Corvette.

The Corvette has never gone backwards. A few retro hints here and there but its always about moving forward. The C7 will do that.

Absolutely not. I'm not into the whole "retro" styling thing. I'd love to own a 63' Grand Sport, but I would rather own a Superformance Grand Sport Replica than have the C7 look like a modern 'Grand Sport" wanna-be

I would normally say no retro, but after seeing pics of this example I think it would look pretty sweet...but I know this is not anything close to how it will actually look. Would be cool if they had two versions - the retro and modern

This sure beats the jalopnik rendering IMO

The problem with retro styling is that after 2 years, you have a car that looks 40 years old.
And after 2 years, your sales tank. See New Beetle, Challenger, Mustang, etc....
There's a reason the current Camaro is only going to have a 5 year life span.

No retro. If you want an old body and new car handling there are mod shops that can make your dream come true. For the vast majority we want the latest styling, electrics and engineering.

That looks like a seriously confused kit car. No thank you.

I love those modern C3 renderings but I would have to say no to the retro

There's no retro I really like, except the Ford GT.

Retro styling is what you do when engineers run out of ideas, and executives run out of the determination to demand more. I've hated retro styling since day one.

C6 had ALOT more C3 in it than the C5 or C4 did.

IMO it's just lazy, unimaginative, and an eventual design paradox.

I say no to retro, although I do like what they did with the Ford GT, the Challenger AND the Camaro.
I think retro is over, move forward young man, move forward.
